Yangtze River Cruise - Tour Day 5

Woke on the other side of the dam today. The river is much wider here and a lot more rubbish as well. There is a lot of. If ships transporting cars along the river which don't look that big until you realise how many semitrailers are aboard each filled to capacity with cars.

We docked at Wu Gorge where we transferred to a smaller boat to go up one of the Yangtze tributaries the Goddess Stream. The stream is in Wushan Country on the south bank. Surrounded by precipitous mountains the Goddess Stream is hidden in a deep valley and abundant with scenic beauty. On our way back to our ship the sun came out and you could see some blue sky through the haze. Really relaxing and picturesque journey really worth doing.

We started cruising again once all were onboard entering the second of the three gorges the Wu Gorge. It is a warm day today 31 and the sky is almost clear from the haze. You could get sunburnt today if you tried hard enough.

We decided not to do the optional afternoon tour and instead I went for a massage and later we had drinks on our balconies enjoying the scenery. Our cabin is next toMark and Donna's and you can open the barrier on the balconies to join them together so very pleasant cruising along.

We went to happy hour before dinner and sat on the deck watching the Chinese play a foot game with a shuttlecock type thing. After dinner we watched the staff tallent show where Noel got up on stage with the magician who did a trick to make it look like he stole his underpants. We spent a bit of time at the bow as it was a beautiful night, you could actually see the stars through the mist.

Fitbit steps today 8,774, 5.84km relaxing day today so we will have to do much better tomorrow :-)
